Maker session: Simple dowel stool - 13th February 2021

During this one day course you will make a simple four legged stool using lengths of 30mm thick dowel and a solid wood seat. By using a high quality dowel you will have the opportunity to complete the stool within the day.

The course is suitable for beginners. It will give you the opportunity to use home-grown timber and professional hand-tools in our well-equipped workshops. You will cut and assemble wedged round tenons to form a strong joint between the legs and seat, then cut them flush before taking the stool home.  

This course is suitable for both beginners and those who want to develop their woodworking skills further.
