Knife Skills and Whittling - 12th September 2021
Whittling is a traditional pastime using a knife to make items from wood. It is an enjoyable pursuit that most can learn.
At the most basic level, the only tool that is required is a single knife and the wood that is locally available.
Despite being run in a relaxed manner the workshop still emphasizes the teaching of safe and efficient skills.
You will start by learning how to use traditional tools safely and effectively before making your first project. As the day continues, you will make a variety of projects that present a range of challenges that become progressively more difficult.
