An introduction to the dovetail joint - 9th February 2020

In this one-day course we hope to de-mystify the process of cutting a dovetail joint.

During this one day course you will be introduced to the tools and techniques required to cut a dovetail joint. Often seen as the marker of high quality craftsmanship in woodworking, we hope to de-mystify the process.  This course is aimed at beginners who wish to understand more about cutting joints in wood by hand - the techniques are the basis for working accurately and are transferable.

You will accurately use measuring and marking tools followed by sharp saws and chisels under the guidance of our experienced tutor, in our well-equipped workshop.
