Dovetailed tray - April 2020

Learn the techniques to make your own handled tray using traditional dovetail joints.

During this two day course you will hand-cut traditional dovetail joints in the production of a tool tray. You will be guided in the careful marking out and sawing/chiselling technique necessary to produce accurate woodwork joints. Our tutor will individually support you to cut dovetail and half-lap joints to form the basis of a simple tray.

This handled tray is a versatile object that is suitable for tools but could equally be at home in the garden when harvesting vegetables or used to hold art equipment.

This course is suitable for both beginners and those who want to develop their woodworking skills further.
